- Parapet LED

Parapet LED is a large strip of LED screens that run around the stadium levels of the oval. You are able to supply static or animated content for this space.
If creating in play animated content you must also provide a static version of the last frame of your animation which will be held on the screen. In play animated content runs for 5 seconds before freezing on the last frame.
You will need to create one of each tile size for each creative.

- Content Guidelines
What works best
- High contrast graphics
- Bold logos and type
- Aim to fill the full height of the LED with your content
- Dark backgrounds with light text / logos
- Short messages
- Having consistent spacing between all elements (logos, image, copy etc.)
- LED animations with movement should go clockwise (screen left to right)
- Consider having the brand logo or main message on screen for majority of the time
- The static file you supply needs to match the end frame of your animation. This is what will be displayed during play, so make sure the branding and any messaging is clearly visible
What to avoid
- Flashing or overly distracting graphics
- Very fast movement
- Small or thin text
- Long messages or content spaced far apart
- Changing logo or font size between tiles
- Two lines of text on top of each other
- Too much use of footage or photos
- White backgrounds or large amounts of white content
- Don’t cover seams with logos or text, they will get cut in half at the edge of the LED screens
- Final frame not including branding or full message
Designing for LED
If you are creating content in the tile format, you should create content that doesn’t create visible seams between the tiles.
To check the seams between tiles, put all the different tile sizes you have created together end to end, In various combinations, to test if they blend seamlessly throughout the animation.
In a tile LED format, generally the largest tile is used throughout the LED with any smaller tiles used to fill gaps.
Check the background
Coloured/Textured backgrounds will need to blend from end to end.

Animated elements
Animated elements that move off the side of the tile will need to ‘re-appear’ on the opposite side of all tiles.

Element sizes
You should keep all logos and assets the same size across all different tiles.

Layout
Consider your tile designs not only on their own but in relation to each other. If you have a tile that starts and ends with a logo such as below:

When it is tiled, you will end up with two logos next to each other before the text repeats. There is nothing wrong with this, but it is something to keep in mind.

Edges
Do not use your elements to cover up the seams, as on the very start and end of each LED bank, they will be cut in half.

Back up content
Due to the direct line of sight with the players and umpires on the field, there are careful considerations required in relation to on ground displays. Brand colours and creatives will be subject to sign off by the ICC match officials within 24 hours of the match.
There will be a screening of content to the ICC match officials before the season commences. This date is yet to be set and you will be informed when it is. We recommended that you have your content delivered in time for this viewing so you don’t run the risk of last minute changes.
BBL uses a white ball, so if you have a large amount of white in your creative, you should consider a less bright version or a reverse option as a back up
